The Corporation for Mid St.Lawrence Pilots wants to emphasize its support of the Naval Museum of Quebec (Musée Maritime du Québec , previously known as the Musée maritime Bernier). We believe in the importance of preserving Quebec's maritime heritage for generations to come.

Thus, the Corporation of Mid St.Lawrence Pilots is proud of its contribution through its annual corporate subscription to the Naval Museum of Quebec.
The museum's mission is the safeguard, study and development of all maritime heritage related to the St.Lawrence from the Great Lakes to the ocean including the arctic territories.

The museum perpetuates our collective maritime history via collections and permanent including: 'People of the country, people of the River', 'Capt. Joseph-Elzéar Bernier 1852-1934', the boat-museums like the hydrofoil Bras d'or 400 and the Ernest Lapointe ice-breaker, and lets not forget the chalouperie. Temporary exhibits this year include 'The Canoe: A Canadian Cultural Icon' as well as 'Presences the Canadian Navy 1910-2010'.

The museum is worth a visit. Located on the River's edge in l'Ilet sur la Côte-du-Sud, only an hour's drive from Québec city. Take in a page of history and visit our seamen's homeland.
